Hello. I’m an architect and representative of Pole Shift.I’m currently working mainly on the web. In the near future, I’d like to set up a base for city planning, so I’d be happy if you could support me. We are also always looking for angel investors. This article explains how to get to Oiwa Shrine from Hitachi Station by bus.

Location of Oiwa Shrine

This article explains how to get to Oiwa Shrine, the largest power spot in the northern region of Ibaraki Prefecture, and one that has been protected for generations by the Tokugawa family of the Mito domain.
There are ways to access the shrine by private car, but I personally prefer to take a local bus from the station, so I explain it in detail. Besides, for the sake of global environmental protection and the realization of a compact city, let’s “live by foot” as much as possible! That’s our idea.

Now, let’s get right to the point. The timetable is the latest version as of April 1, 2021.By the way, it takes about two and a half hours on foot from Hitachi Station (5 hours round trip: 22km). It may feel like a bit of a mountain climb, but there are many places where there are no sidewalks, so it is very dangerous and not recommended. (So I would not recommend it.)

Here is the bus schedule from Hitachi Station (boarding point: Hitachi Station West Exit, platform 1).
(The bus schedule from Hitachi Station (boarding point: Hitachi Station West Exit (1)) is completely different on weekdays and weekends.

Recommended Access

Those who wish to stroll to the top of the shrine need to wear hiking boots. In addition to the normal time for visiting the shrine, you should allow about 90 minutes.

If it is a weekday, you can take the 8:40 a.m. bus to Oiwa Shrine, take a leisurely stroll, and return by the 12:40 p.m. bus (arriving at Hitachi Station at 13:12).If you want to stay for a short time, you can take the 11:35 bus (you can stay for 35 minutes).

If it’s a holiday, you can take the 8:40 am bus to the shrine, take a leisurely stroll, and return at 12:50 pm (arriving at Hitachi Station at 13:22).If you want to stay for a short time, you can take the 11:47 bus (you can stay for 33 minutes).

So, that’s all for now. I hope this is helpful to you.
